BIS offers a rolling admissions process and accepts applications throughout the academic year based on space availability and academic compatibility, for children from Early Childhood to Grade 12 — currently Early Childhood to Grade 5. Below, you will find everything you need to know to learn more about our school and begin the application process.
Five things are asked of you across the process. Everything else is ours to do.
Contact our admission office to learn more about our programs and schedule a campus tour. Meet our faculty, explore our facilities, and experience our learning environment firsthand.
After completing our enquiry form and touring our campus, you'll complete our online registration form here on the BIS website and upload the following documents with it:
We will invite your child to complete English and Math assessments. In some cases, we may also request an interview with our Principal. This process helps ensure that your child is prepared to access our academically rigorous International Baccalaureate programme, and allows us to identify any additional learning needs.
Once we have reviewed your child’s application and assessment results, we will send you a formal offer of admission. To confirm your child’s place, you will need to:
Once fees are settled, students are officially part of the Bloom International School family. New Family Orientation is held at the end of August, followed by Welcome Coffees during the first weeks of September.
Three outcomes are possible after we review your child’s application and assessment results together. Both qualifying outcomes then pass through our Admissions Policy before a place is released.
We serve students from PK3 through Grade 12 (ages 3–18), currently offering classes from Pre-K to Grade 5. Select an age to see the BIS grade and its equivalent in the American, British and French systems.
Moving from another country or curriculum? This is the correlation of programs for the 2025–26 academic year. Final placement is confirmed during the admissions assessment.
We understand that choosing the right school is a significant decision for families, and we are here to support and guide you throughout the process. School tuition and fees are determined by the student's enrolment status — whether they are new or returning — as well as their grade level.
Tuition includes lunch, and can be paid annually, per semester, or in ten equal monthly instalments invoiced September to June.
A one-time, non-refundable fee required for each new prospective student, payable on submission of the Application for Admission through OpenApply, BIS's online application platform.
A non-refundable annual fee paid in April for all registered students to reserve their placement for the following academic year. Two categories apply: Shareholders and Non-Shareholders.
Tuition includes lunch and varies by division or grade level. Payable annually, per semester, or in ten equal monthly instalments invoiced from September to June in the first week of each month.
Covers a wide range of school materials and textbooks required for each grade level. Invoiced as a single instalment per child in July, for the upcoming academic year.
The Capital Fee is a one-time payment required only from newly enrolled students, payable upon admission. The Bus Fee is an optional monthly charge for students registered on one of the school's bus routes.
Bills are expected to be paid within two weeks of the date of issue. Late payment incurs a 2% monthly administrative surcharge for late collection procedures, from 60 days. Repeated delays incur BIS policy sanctions.
The BIS Business Office establishes direct debit as the only official payment method.

Bloom International School provides scholarships to students who wish to enrol in our Primary School — BIS is an IB candidate school* for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). These grants are merit-based and aim to support students who have excellent academic and non-academic achievements.

The application period for scholarships begins in November and ends in February each year.

We serve students from PK3 through Grade 12 (ages 3–18), currently offering classes from Pre-K to Grade 5.
School operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 15:30. ECA students are dismissed 15 minutes earlier at 15:15. Students may arrive as early as 7:30 in the morning. Extra-Curricular Activities run from 15:30 to 17:00 and from 17:00 to 18:30.
The academic year begins in September and ends in June.
Bloom International School is an IB candidate school* for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) — candidacy does not guarantee authorization. The PYP is an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary framework for students aged 3–12, delivered in English. It offers a curriculum designed so that every student can develop their abilities to the highest level.
Core academic subjects are taught in English, with a complementary Khmer program emphasizing language, history and culture. Spanish and/or French and/or Chinese are introduced from Grade 1 to 8, and from Grade 9 to 12 as an elective.
Yes — students start at all times of the year, where we have availability. Older students will require individual consideration due to the rigorousness of the program.
School lunches are offered daily and are included in the school fees.
We welcome students who require additional support due to learning differences, special educational needs or disabilities, provided that — by making reasonable accommodations — our Student Support Team believes they will be able to meet the needs of that student.
In Primary and Secondary School, we provide limited Learning Support services for students with mild learning disabilities and for those who need support in developing early literacy skills and temporary targeted academic interventions. In Pre-University, we offer limited support, such as organizational strategies and extended time on assessments.
A primary consideration in offering admission will be the student's ability to access the regular curriculum with limited support, and the level of resources needed. Unfortunately, we cannot offer places to students who need extensive curriculum modifications or constant one-to-one support.
Prior to applying, parents of children with special needs are requested to submit all relevant documentation to the admissions department — Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), report cards, and doctor or psychologist's evaluations are all helpful.
Yes. BIS students wear the full school uniform when they are on campus during school hours as well as on school outings, as it is a symbol of belonging to our institution. They also wear a sports uniform for Physical Education and sports activities.
A typical day at our international school begins at 8:00 am and ends at 15:30 — except for Early Childhood, who may choose reduced hours. Additional activities may take place during break time, before or after lunch, or after the specified school hours.
You can contact our Admissions Office via the Enquiry Form and they will be happy to guide you through the application process and answer any questions. We advise parents to apply in advance of the desired starting date, as our school has limited available seats per class.

At the end of August, we host a New Family Orientation for all parents and students. The format varies across the different divisions, but the goal is the same — to help new students feel welcome and confident before the first day of school, and to help parents understand how we will be supporting their children and how things work at the school.

During the first weeks of September, we host Welcome Coffees at our campus, allowing parents to make deeper connections with other new families with similar-aged children.

Prior to joining BIS, each family will be given access to MyBIS, our parent portal where you will find all sorts of helpful information, including:
